Santa Pony Witch's Brew Carrotcake Dreams Sweet Valentine Lady Darkfire Lori & Adam Babies Nerds Pony Wavedancer Spring Fever Midnight Mischief
I made this pony for Skig in the Trading Post's Spring Fling swap (April 2008). Her name is Spring Fever because she incorporates so many elements of the season.
I decided on tulips and pansies for the flowers on her legs because those were some of the flowers Skig said she likes. She also mentioned she likes bunnies, butterflies, and rainbows; hence the lovely theme we have here.
She was repainted with Vallejo acrylics and sealed with both Games Workshop spray matte varnish and Vallejo brush-on matte varnish. (One before the hair and one after due to the repainting that was needed from a newspaper accident that caused black smudges.) Her hair is nylon hair from dollyhair.com in Cherry Pie, Golden Delicious, Envy, Forget-me-Not, and Sour Grapes.
The butterfly on her nose and the bunny around her leg are sculpted from apoxie sculpt. This was my first time working with apoxie sculpt and it didn't really behave the way I was expecting. I think they turned out rather well though.
The hair clip came with the original pony (Paradise Island), but it was all fuscia so I repainted it. I made the necklace from a little kit I bought at the toy store.
