This pony was made for Ristvak at the MLP Arena as part of the Valentine Swap in February 2009. Ristvak presented me with quite a challenge: make a V-Day pony with no pink. She said she likes stuffed animals and candy, so I went with it and decided I would make something just white and red, if I could.
Thus, we have Sweet Valentine. I sculpted the stuffed bear on her back and the box of candies out of apoxie sculpt. The candy box is covered in Sugar Plum fantasy film to make it look like it's wrapped in plastic. It also has a magnet in it, so it sticks to her leg if desired. The hearts on her bum and back leck are supposed to be cinnamon hearts, which is why they are a little more rounded than normal. The eyes are a little different than I normally do them. I tried adding more eyelashes. I see so many people do it, and it always looks great, so I thought I'd try.
All painting was done with Vallejo game color acrylics. The eyes and hearts are sealed with gloss varnish. The bear is sealed with satin varnish. The hair is a blend of Cherry Pie, Volcano, and Venom from Dollyhair.com.
