At the beginning of July 2008 I decided to make a nice quick custom that would reflect the feeling of summer fun and this pony is the result.
Wavedancer is a surfer-pony. He is my first attempt at sculpting furry feet. They were sculpted with apoxie sculpt and I was trying to paint them to look like the ocean lapping up onto the sand. I'm not sure if I achieved that, but that's what I was going for. He was rehaired with a blend of dollyhair's lemondrop and sunlight. I made the hemp necklace for him myself. He has symbols on both sides sealed with matte varnish. Eyes and feet were gloss varnished for a wet look, but unfotunately I don't think it shows in the pictures very well.
I was originally going to give him really short hair, but then I decided he looked like Fabio with this color and left it longer.
